OK, so after years of cogitation, I finally decided to buy a sailboat. Yes, it took 20 years by my count (15 years by my wife's count) because a boat is a 'hole in the water that one pours money into'. I wonder who to attribute that quote to... In any case, I bought Antidote in December 2003 with the intention of sailing her during my spare time (if I ever have any). Here is what Antidote looks like, at time of purchase, at the Maryland Marina.

Antidote is a 1980 vintage AMF Paceship PY23. I will be telling you more about her, and my work on her in the days ahead. Right now, I need to get back to the yard to register the boat and and trailer and get her out of the water!
